Technical Capabilities
Bass mono-maker: everything below an adjustable cutoff (20-500 Hz) sums to clean mono - elliptical M/S filter, mid signal untouched
Gain (±24 dB), resonant-free high-pass and low-pass filters
Stereo width 0-200%
Click-free polarity flip and mute
Lightweight CPU footprint, zero latency
Clean, minimal interface
Mono where it matters
Low frequencies carry the most energy in a mix, and out-of-phase low end wastes headroom, wobbles on vinyl, and falls apart on club systems and phone speakers. The MONO knob solves this the mastering-grade way: everything below the cutoff collapses to clean mono while the rest of the stereo image is untouched.
Below the cutoff
Summed to perfect mono. Kick and bass hit from the center on any system - tighter, louder-feeling low end.
Above the cutoff
Your stereo image, exactly as you mixed it. Width, reverb tails and doubles stay wide.
The mono sum
Never touched. The filter only removes side content, so mono playback is identical by construction - nothing to check, nothing to fix.
How it works
Elliptical M/S filter
The signal is split into Mid (what mono listeners hear) and Side (the stereo difference). Only the Side is high-passed - the same technique mastering EQs use for vinyl-safe bass.
Before Width
The mono-maker runs ahead of the Width control, so your lows stay locked to mono even at 200% width.
Always clean
No crossovers, no band-splitting phase smear, zero latency, no bypass clicks. At OFF the filter sits below the audible band.
